Suprema tapped by India for biometric registration

Suprema, a developer of biometric systems and solutions, has announced they have been chosen by the Indian Government to provide its RealScan-D biometric scanning system, a mobile fingerprint scanner, for India’s National Population Register project.
The collection of India’s population’s biometric data includes all ten fingerprints as well as a photograph and demographic data. In addition to the Indian Government contract, Suprema is also reporting a major contract agreement with Brazil’s Government.
