In the quest for universal secure digital verification, Symantec Corp. has announced it’s issued over a quarter-billion digital certificates to verify user and device identity.
In a press release, Adam Geller, senior director, User Authentication, said that the volume of certificates issued reflects the company’s efforts in getting commercial and government organizations to understand how leveraging digital certificates can provide strong authentication features.
Additionally, Symantec has rebranded its Managed PKI Service, now in its third generation. This service is based in the cloud and offers users a secure, scalable service. Users will be able to deploy and scale certificate-powered security applications easily for cloud and mobile computing models.
