TCF and Northern Illinois renew campus card agreement for next decade

TCF Bank has been the banking partner for Northern Illinois University’s campus card for a decade and with the new contract award just announced, that relationship will continue for another ten years.
TCF Bank and Northern Illinois University Announce New 10-Year Campus Banking Agreement
Burr Ridge, Illinois, February 2, 2007 – TCF Bank and Northern Illinois University announce today their new 10-year, exclusive campus banking agreement that will continue to provide convenient banking services to NIU students. TCF Bank, “Open 7 Days a Week,” will continue to offer NIU students “Totally Free Student Checking” with no minimum balance requirements and no monthly service fees. NIU faculty and staff are also offered similar account benefits with TCF’s “Faculty and Staff Checking”. Northern Illinois University students, faculty and staff are able to link their NIU OneCard to their TCF account and access their account using the card as an ATM or debit card.

This new 10-year agreement was awarded after a competitive bid process set forth by NIU during the 2005-2006 academic years. As part of the agreement, TCF will:
- Continue to operate a branch on the DeKalb campus inside the Holmes Student Center.
- Continue to provide a yearly donation to an NIU scholarship fund.
- Continue to maintain and operate five TCF ATMs on the DeKalb campus.
