TI has teamed up with TSSI and Third Millennium to provide RFID and fingerprint biometrics to manufactures and integrators of access control. This technology uses the latest generation of 13.56 MHz contactless ISO 15693 smart proximity cards from TI-RFid. Combining the products has produced a practical and cost effective solution to integrating RFID with biometric technology.
TI and Timex have a watch on the market that offers the convenience of Speedpass technology with the wave of a wrist. There are over 6 million Speedpass users today, and they now have the option of using this watch with TI radio frequency transponder inside the timepiece. Customers can instantly pay for purchases at more than 7,500 Exxon and Mobil stations nation wide as well as 440 participating McDonald’s restaurants in Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Timex watch gives customers a hands-free option that allows them to pay for purchases by waving their watch in front of an electronic reader located at the pump, checkout counter, or the drive-thru.
TI and SafeTzone team up and bring RFID technology to amusement park guest at Wet ‘n Wild – Florida and Nevada; Wild Rivers- California; and Dolly’s Splash Country- Tennessee. Using the SafeTzone locator, guest will be able to locate each other at the park if separated or if a child gets lost. This device will double as a wireless wallet for cashless purchases throughout the park, enabling guest to purchase food, drinks, and gifts without having to carry wallets or cash. Wearing a watch-like RF device on the wrist, the guest can use a touch screen kiosks located throughout the park to track real-time location of the members in their group on a map, in multiple languages, simply by scanning their locators.
