U.S. Bank will be opening a new, full-service office next spring to cater to Ohio State University students, faculty and the community. It will be located in the front entrance of the new Ohio Union and will feature four ATMs placed throughout the new student facility.
Despite the current economic environment, U.S. Bank continues to invest in the Columbus area with 49 traditional, in-store and on-site locations in Central Ohio, with the addition of the new Ohio Union office, said Dave Sceva, U.S. Bank Central Ohio market president and a 1979 OSU alum. “This will be our seventh new branch office opening in Central Ohio since January 2008.”
Sceva said that the new office will serve students, faculty, staff and visitors Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with branch hours on Saturdays as well. Students will be able to open a free checking account with cash back rewards, free Internet banking and free bill pay along with no ATM fees for withdrawals at a U.S. Bank ATM or any ATM linked to the MoneyPass network.
Those concerned about keeping track of where they stand on their account can receive a text or email message when their balance reaches a certain amount. Faculty, staff, visitors and businesses can also take advantage of these products and services.
U.S. Bank is currently partnering with 48 colleges and universities throughout the country–including Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University–to provide student banking services.
