The United States Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, has deployed a RFID weapons tracking solution by ODIN to track a variety of weapons in and out of a key armory.
The system deployed – ODIN’s EasyArms – is an RFID hardware and software solution used to automatically log weapons and users into and out of the armory without the need for manual recording.
EasyArms tracks weapons with their associated users and automatically logs the movement. In addition, it alerts the users and other interested parties if a weapon moves in an unauthorized manner or with an unauthorized individual and sends any movement data to a centralized database.
Part of ODIN’s Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) asset tracking RFID solution, the EasyArms improves the accuracy and speed of weapon logging while also enhancing asset security. In addition, the system does away with conventional paper-based weapon logs that can be inaccurate and easily lost.
ODIN’s EasyArms weapon tracking solution includes software, RFID tags, RFID readers and other equipment end users require for a total, turn-key installation.
