PNC Bank has signed a five-year deal with the University of Cincinnati to upgrade its campus card program, according to a local news report.
The new Bearcat Card, the university’s official campus ID, will function much like a debit card linked to either new or existing PNC bank accounts to allow students to make purchases at a wider range of merchants.
Students will also have access to PNC features including online and mobile banking, which allows students to sign up for mobile alerts should their balance drop below a specified limit or when a direct deposit occurs.
In addition, PNC Bank will open a new branch at the University of Cincinnati’s Tangeman University Center, along with nine ATM machines spread across the university campus.
