The Post Office has announced plans to introduce contactless payments throughout its 12,000 facilities in the UK, reports sQuidcard.com.
The technology will allow customers to tap and pay for items of £15 or less, which account for around 60 percent of the Post Office’s sales, according to the company.
The upgrade, which will be complete by October of next year, calls for around 30,000 to 35,000 contactless point-of-sales terminals, making it one of the largest contactless roll outs in the UK to date, says sQuid.
