UMass Amherst Amplifies RFID Security

Security is one of the biggest considerations and challenges to new technology taking off. Usually, the biggest issue is how to increase it without increasing bottom line costs or compromising a product’s integrity.
In the RFID world, here’s one for the “good news” department: Three researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst have come up with a way to improve security on RFID devices using existing technologies and without increasing the size of the small gadgets, according to an article published today by Campus Technology magazine.
Apparentely, RFID is too susceptible for comfort.
