RAPIDGate Program Establishes New Beachhead to Help Improve Security for the U.S. Army in Hawaii
PORTLAND, OR.- Eid Passport, Inc. announced today that its industry-leading RAPIDGate® Program has expanded outside the continental U.S., serving to improve physical security and gate efficiency for the U.S. Army installations in Hawaii. The voluntary Program helps streamline access control procedures for authorized vendors, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and service providers who routinely access the installations. This implementation of the RAPIDGate Program joins thirteen implementations currently in operation at Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security facilities from Washington, D.C. to California.
“The RAPIDGate Program is an important component of our strategy to keep all personnel on our installations safer and more secure,” explained Robert Marsh, Anti-Terrorism Officer, USAG, Hawaii (USAG-HI). “The RAPIDGate Program gives our access control personnel greater control over our gate procedures, and it streamlines access for our valued business partners. It’s a win-win option.”
USAG-HI offers the voluntary RAPIDGate Program to improve security and help simplify access for non-military personnel who regularly conduct business on Schofield Barracks, Fort Derussy, Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Medical Center and Wheeler Army Airfield. The RAPIDGate Program provides an identity badge and streamlined access procedures for qualified employees of enrolled companies. The Program reduces each employee’s wait time at the gates and helps them serve the installation more efficiently. That’s how it helps improve the company’s bottom line while enhancing installation security.
“Given today’s very real threats, government and military installations can’t rely on stand-alone products such as ID scanners,” said Steve Larson, Chairman and CEO of Eid Passport. “Our solutions integrate multiple layers of security within a unified architecture, which results in greater confidence and efficiency for security personnel and authorized credential-holders alike.”
The RAPIDGate Program has been improving security and streamlining access at many prominent military installations, including the following: Camp Pendleton (CA), Fort Bliss (TX), Fort Bragg (NC), Fort Carson (CO), Fort Lee (VA), Fort Leonard Wood (MO), Fort Lewis (WA), Fort Polk (LA), Fort Riley (KS), Fort Sam Houston (TX), and U.S Army Garrison Detroit Arsenal (MI). The Program is also in operation at select Department of Homeland Security locations, such as the Coast Guard Training Center Cape May (NJ) and the Coast Guard Headquarters (DC). Companies who need more information or are interested in enrolling in the RAPIDGate Program at USAG-HI can call 1-877-RAPIDGate (1-877-727-4342).
About the RAPIDGate Program
The RAPIDGate Program provides a voluntary identification and access management solution for vendor, supplier, contractor and subcontractor personnel entering highly secure facilities. It provides multiple layers of physical security checks, including validation of employment status, identity authentication, background screening, biometric verification, and verification of authorization to enter. Access control personnel can process RAPIDGate badgeholders in seconds, which improves gate throughput, saves companies time and money, and improves customer service. Moreover, one RAPIDGate Badge may be used to request access to multiple participating installations for even greater convenience, efficiency, and return on investment. The RAPIDGate Program already serves thousands of companies and tens of thousands of RAPIDGate Badgeholders who enjoy streamlined access into Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security facilities across the continental U.S. and Hawaii. The RAPIDGate Program contains products and services subject to U.S. Patent No. 6,779,721.
