Vantiv is now offering Ingenico’s NFC and EMV-enabled Telium series point-of-sale products to its financial institutions and merchant customers in the U.S.
The Telium readers, which are equipped with Vantiv’s own point-to-point card data encryption solution (P2PE), will help the Vantiv’s U.S. clients make the jump to EMV chip-based and NFC mobile payments, according to the company.
Built around Ingenico’s Telium 2 architecture and EMV Level 2 kernel, the Telium range comes standard with all payment technologies already embedded, including EMV, contactless, NFC and tradition magnetic stripe.
Ingenico’s Telium devices include iCT220 & iCT250 countertop terminals, iWL220 & iWL250BT bluetooth wireless devices, and iPP220 & iPP320 PIN pads.
“With a footprint of 17 million terminals globally, 14 million of them processing EMV transaction daily, we bring years of EMV chip based technology expertise and implementation to our partnership with Vantiv,” said Thierry Denis, president of Ingenico, North America. “We feel confident that Vantiv has chosen a solid POS partner.”
