VeriChip to present glucose-sensing chip at ID World Congress
VeriChip has announced that its chairman and chief executive officer, Scott R. Silverman, will present VeriChip’s in vivo glucose-sensing RFID chip at the ID World International Congress in Milan, Italy.
ID World, which runs from Nov. 3-5, is the world’s leading symposium on the future directions of RFID, biometrics and smart card technologies, according to VeriChip. In addition to presenting the in vivo glucose-sensing RFID chip, VeriChip will also discuss its virus triage detection system for the H1N1 virus.
The glucose chip which is currently in Phase II of development, will allow diabetes patients to check their blood sugar without needing to draw blood.
There will be more than 150 speakers at ID WORLD 2009, including CEOs, key end users and government representatives from all continents, and thousands of attendees from across the globe.
