Viruses ‘should not hinder contactless payment strategies’
Fears that contactless payments and technologies such as NFC will create a security threat are largely unfounded according to Mike Hawkes, chairman of the Mobile Data Association.
Although with any new technology, there are people that will try to write malware for the technology, security checks are already in place that makes stealing wireless payment information credentials difficult.
