Vision Database Systems, Inc. and Blackboard Inc. announce Building Blocks partnership

Washington, DC – October 15, 2002 – Today at the NACAS 34th Annual Conference, Blackboard Inc., the leading software infrastructure company for e-Education, announced that Vision Database Systems (VDS) signed a partnership agreement that will make the companies’ systems interoperable through Blackboard’s Building Blocks Program™.
Under the agreement, Vision Database Systems joins Blackboard’s Building Blocks Program, which provides developer services for creating extensions to the Blackboard e-Education Suite™. The two companies are developing a real-time Blackboard Data Integration AgentÔ to allow interoperability between the RapIDcard IDMSÔ card production system and the Blackboard Transaction SystemÔ.

Blackboard’s Building Blocks Manager technology allows for the real-time exchange of data between the Blackboard e-Education Suite™ and multiple third party systems, ensuring complete data synchronization and data integrity.
