Vision Database Systems, a Jupiter, Fla.-based software developer of ID card systems and tracking devices, is introducing a new campus ID carding solution at the National Association of Campus Card Users conference that starts Sunday in Baltimore.
Called IDMSonline, it will enable campus ID administrators to run their ID carding operations from the Web. The product provides new capabilities like setting up remote capture stations anywhere on campus or off, remote photo capture, the ability to print locally or from a centralized production printer.
IDMSonline will retain the desktop IDMS’ feature of streamlining the assignment of ISO and banking numbers for creating campus credit cards.
IDMSonline also includes a number of new features. Because of its ability to run remote card stations, an administrative program is included. In addition, there is a built-in card print queue to allow the operator to prioritize printing for mass carding events. A card designer is also included.
With almost 200 installations of IDMS at colleges and universities in the U.S., Vision Database is delivering standard ID carding that works with a variety of cameras, and with all popular ID card printers from companies such as Polaroid, Evolis, Magicard, Datacard, Fargo, Zebra, Nisca, and DNP. Vision Database also makes Pocketracker, a mobile ID verification software, for student event tracking, bus ridership access, and campus security.
