Windows 7 expected to greatly outperform Vista in security

With the release of the new Microsoft Windows 7 operating system it’s security capabilities are being compared with Vista, according to an E Week article. When looking at the security features it may not be perfectly clear as of yet, however, that Windows 7 appears to have a much larger number of security features than its predecessor.
One of the main security aspects being touted by Microsoft is the Windows Biometric Framework that was built into the operating system allowing for easier integration of biometric devices into PCs. While it was very possible in the past to integrate biometric devices into a Vista machine, it required complete development of drivers and support applications to come from the third party developer.
The Windows Biometric Framework, however, allows for smoother integration and less third party applications running.
