Blogging tool WordPress has added VASCO Data Security International Inc’s MYDIGIPASS.COM to its blogging platform to enhance authentication and security for its users.
The WordPress content management system can be used to build blogs and websites. Content builders who have WordPress sites can choose to keep content secured behind a firewall that requires a combination of username and static password. With MYDIGIPASS.COM, these sites can now incorporate two-factor authentication without needing to manage security features such as encryption and management of passwords or identity and password theft.
MYDIGIPASS.COM can also identify and authenticate specific users so that they can be authenticated across multiple sites and don’t need to create a profile and register for each site.
To integrate the tool into a WordPress website, the developer downloads and installs a free plugin that’s available through either the WordPress plugin site or through developer.mydigipass.com. The plugin can configure and integrate the two-factor authentication app onto the desired website.
