WVU partnership with FBI advances program

The West Virginia University (WVU) Biometrics Program that is funded by the FBI has garnered more and more attention for itself as the relationship between the school and government agency has grown, according to an article from the Daily Athenaeum.
The obvious benefits for WVU include grants and other funding from the government, however, the FBI also benefits as they have a pool of biometrics experts to pull from and often receive high-tech training for their agents through the program.
The relationship reportedly began with the creation of the National Science Foundation Center for Identification Technology Research at WVU through which the partnership was founded. Most students in the program regularly report excitement as working there often means working with the most cutting edge in identity authentication technology.
