Zetes, a European supplier of biometric technology, has announced that they have been awarded two new contracts by the Cote d’Ivoire government. The new contracts are coming off the involvement Zetes had in the project involving regular biometric passports as the new contracts deal with diplomatic and service passports as well as supplying biometric visas and consular registration cards.
Other portions of the contracts include the installation of registration stations in embassies in a number of countries as well as one at Abidjan Airport. Other work on these projects will be performed by The National Company for the Issue of Administrative and Identity Documents acting on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A third company involved in the project is Hologram Industries who will be handling the solutions for authentication of the documents.
