Bendigo Bank, an Australia-headquartered financial services provider, is introducing contactless technology to enable its credit and debit cardholders the ability to speed through the checkout line.
The new cards will feature contactless technology with MasterCard PayPass and Visa payWave. A fast and secure way to pay, customers will be able to complete small purchases without requiring a PIN or signature for the transaction.
Cardholders simply hold their contactless-enabled bank credit/debit card in front of a contactless reader and the purchases is complete and recorded in a matter of seconds. The card never leaves the customer’s hand.
Benefiting merchants all the same, contactless payments offer faster transaction times, increased card usage and improved customer loyalty. Contactless payments are widely accepted at thousands of retailers, fast food restaurants, cafés, petrol stations, convenience stores, supermarkets and more.
