In the year 2019, there will exist a marketplace of secure, privacy-enhancing digital credentials that can be used across the Internet in lieu of passwords. This will prompt most consumers to trust one – or a handful – of credential service providers instead of managing 25-30 passwords.

United Kingdom residents will be able to verify their identity and then have simplified access to government services through GOV.UK Verify.

It’s been a busy year for the newly branded Entrust Datacard. The merger of the two companies was announced a year ago, with the new company and brand being revealed at the 2014 CARTES conference.
