3GTV Networks announced that it will add NFC capabilities to its in-store advertising solution.
3GTV’s current solution is made up of a network of TVs and connected ‘smart devices’ that play advertisements for customers as they shop. With these systems already in place, 3GTV says they can implement NFC-based applications that will deliver “value, convenience and fun to shoppers.”
3GTV says it is working with its partners to ensure the service is fully compatible with emerging NFC standards.
Bob Wolinsky, CEO and chairman of 3GTV, comments: “Although it is still very early for NFC, the data points to a huge future, not only for the transaction model, but also for enabling powerful loyalty and marketing activities at the point-of-sale.”
