Accidental posting leaks Kentucky university’s ID info to Internet

A file containing personal information, including addresses and Social Security numbers, of more than 5,000 Eastern Kentucky University faculty, staff and student employees was inadvertently posted to the Internet a year ago. The mistake was just discovered last week.
Still, as an Eastern spokesperson pointed out, the odds of someone actually finding the file were pretty minuscule. The only way to access this file was to enter the exact lengthy, complex filename or through an incredibly precise Google search, said the spokesperson. There was also no evidence the file had ever been accessed.
