Avery Dennison Corp. has named John Farrell Jr. as the company’s new vice president and general manager of its RFID division. Farrell will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the company’s RFID business, which focuses on UHF inlays.
Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Farrell spent two years as senior merger and acquisition advisor to a number of private equity firms, including GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC. He was president and CEO of PSC, Inc., a major manufacturer of Data Capture products including RFID readers, from 2004 to 2006. He has served in senior executive positions with Axian Broadband, Scientific Atlanta, EMS Technologies, OKI Telecom and General Electric Co.
Farrell replaces Robert Cornick, who remains with Avery Dennison, moving to the position of vice president and general manager of Avery’s Printer Systems Division.
