BAE seeing technology advancements from their investments

BAE Systems, a global defense, security and aerospace company, has announced its investments in small and medium-sized businesses with the intention of spurring advancements in biometric technologies such as face and iris recognition is paying off, according to an Info4secutiy article.
One such new solution is on display at the BAE exhibition in the Farnborough International that utilizes iris and face recognition to authenticate identities of moving people from technology developed by OmniPerception, Smart Sensors and Human Recognition Systems.
BAE expects that this new technology could be particularly useful in national security applications in places such as airports, exhibitions, sporting and entertainment venues.
