Barclaycard showcases contactless charity donations

Barclaycard gave its employees and customers a chance to try out its new contactless card by making donations to three charities. The event occurred during its sponsorship of the Mayor’s Thames Festival. Guests could use a limited edition contactless card preloaded with about $8 to donate to one of the charities using contactless readers to complete the transaction.
“The Barclaycard charity contactless payment initiative was really well received by guests at the event as it was quick and simple to use,” said a Barclaycard spokesman.
