BlackBerry developers can now write NFC apps with new SDK

RIM released its BlackBerry Java SDK v7.0 which contains a host of changes along with NFC support. Blackberry 7 as it’s called, will support NFC and built into the SDK are tools that allow developers to access the wireless chip and write applications for it.
The chip can also be used to scan NFC enabled products like a bar code, and will be used for mobile payments in the future. The first NFC enabled BlackBerry will ship this summer, according to readwriteweb.com.
