Blackpool, a seaside town situated along England’s west coast, has installed a number of Parkeon contactless-enabled parking pay stations.
For the installation, Blackpool Council opted for the Parkeon Strada pay station terminal. This new, solar-powered terminal is equipped with contactless card readers, accepting contactless payment-enabled mobile phones and various wave and pay bank cards.
Additionally, the Strada pay station is PCI Level 1 certified accepting most Chip & PIN credit/debit cards and coin payments. Wireless communication also offers motorists and parking authorities real-time online credit card authorization.
Installation is quick and easy as no electrical work is needed. Operation is equally easy-to-use for motorist. In addition, the Strada pay station is ADA compliant
