Embedded technologies provider Eurotech has won a $10 million contract to supply embedded computers to Cubic Transportation for use in the smart card ticketing system of an undisclosed major European capital.
The contract will see over 20,000 units installed in buses and station gates throughout the network.
Each unit will interface directly to a smart card reader and relay both passenger and journey information into the fare collection system.
According to Roberto Siagri, President and CEO of Eurotech, this marks the second multi-million contract win this year for the company.
