GAO releases water-resistant RFID reader/writer

GAO RFID announced the release of its new water-resistant, high frequency handheld RFID reader/writer intended for information management, data collection and data transfer of RFID transponders.
The portable HF RFID reader/writer is compliant with the IP54 standards and meets all endurance criteria in terms of resistance to water, shock and dust allowing it to perform well in most harsh environments.
GAO’s model 243013 can be used in both North America and Europe, as it complies with both ISO15693 and ISO14443A/B protocols. The reader consumes little power, working up to 10 days on a single charge. It also has a RAM capacity of 64Mbit and flash memory ranging from 16Mbit to 144Mbit, it is also equipped with a monochromatic LCD screen, twenty-seven water-resistant keys and a RS232 communication interface.
The rugged design of the 243013 is designed for applications like access control, asset tracking, warehouse management and livestock tagging.
