As debates continue over cross-border identification schemes, privacy advocates as well as technology experts are trying to avoid a security threat by not allowing simple RFID enhanced drivers’ licenses to be deployed. According to InterGovWorld.com, “one US security expert said, the RFID tag is stupid.” The real goal is to find a way to speed up cross-border traffic without sacrificing security, and Ratheon thinks they may have what it takes.
