Identive Group has released a cloud-based NFC tag management platform that enables advertisers, retailers and organizations to deliver targeted content and services to customers’ NFC-enabled mobile devices.
Designed for the education and hospitality markets, the new platform uses back-end, cloud-based services, NFC tags and a mobile user app to manage the content associated with each NFC tag deployed within a particular environment, and deliver tailored information, campaigns and service offers to specific user profiles.
The system’s mobile app enables end users to set preferences, save and organize content on their phone whenever they tap an NFC tag. The app also allows users to reopen saved tag content for reviewing, or to share on a social network.
According to Identive, deploying the service takes less than a minute per tag, and deployments can be scaled to any number of tags and users.
The NFC tag management platform will support Android at launch, with Windows Mobile, iOS, and BlackBerry to follow.
Identive will present the platform at the NFC Solutions Summit next week in Burlingame, Calif.
