iSend, a U.S. e-payment service provider, and eWAY, an Australian online payments provider, have announced they are bringing their respective businesses to the UK.
Available also in Canada, iSend enables users to remotely assist family members living in other countries by topping-up cell phones, paying recurring monthly bills and purchasing retailer gift cards for in-country pickup. Consumers in the U.S., Canada and the UK can initiate iSend payments in more than 60,000 retail locations and online. iSend has steadily expanded to almost 30 countries to date, mostly in Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
eWAY is also bringing its services overseas, where it will aim to provide small businesses an accessible way of processing cerdit card payment online.
eWay’s solution takes the customer’s credit card details and transmits them to the eWAY payment gateway, where they are processed in real time. Payment information is then passed to the Internet merchant facility for card authorization.
The results of the transaction are then sent from the banking network to eWAY where the outcome is recorded within the transaction history. An e-mail receipt is automatically sent to the merchant and the customer customer along with the payment result, and a real time response is returned to the merchant’s Web site, informing the customer of the outcome of their payment.
