Key Innovations has announced a new unattended payment terminal that supports both NFC and EMV chip and pin transactions, as well as magnetic stripe cards.
The compact KSD6000 terminal features a 3.2-inch color display that guides the customer through the purchasing process through a series of animated menus. The display also allows retailers to deliver advertising and targeted promotions directly to customers while they pay.
The terminal comes with a KSP5000 PINpad that features an internal cryptographic module to individually encrypt and transmit each and every key press. According to Key, data entered via the PINpad is never stored or transmitted “in clear text,” ensuring the highest level of data security as defined by PCI PTS (PIN Transaction Security) mandates.
The KSD6000 is available with card reader options to support magnetic stripe, chip card and contactless card technologies.
