NFC Forum announces San Francisco Spotlight Session for Developers

The NFC Forum announced that it is holding a one-day Spotlight Session for Developers No. 5, 2010 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.
According to the NFC Forum, this is one of a continuing series of events held by the NFC Forum that brings application developers face to face with NFC experts to gain practical knowledge, pursue networking opportunities, and get hands-on training.
Over the course of the day, attendees will learn about the market for NFC by sampling cases already deployed in more than 100 projects around the world, hear about the status of the NFC Forum technical specifications and learn how they fit into the overall architecture, preview the upcoming certification programs, receive hands-on training on developer tools and APIs available for creating NFC applications on Nokia devices, and more.
Presenters and panelists include: Peter Preuss of Nokia, NFC Forum Marketing Committee Chair; Ian Keen of Broadcom, NFC Forum Technical Committee Co-Chair; Stephen Tiedemann of Sony, NFC Forum Reference Applications Framework Technical Working Group Chair; Matt Ronning of Sony, NFC Forum Compliance Committee Chair; Nicolas Ponsini of Trusted Logic; Klaus Muehle of Stollmann; Shishir Gupta of ST-Ericsson; Mohammad Khan of ViVOtech; Stuart Fiske of Consult Hyperion; Gavin Shenker of Visa; and Adam Flis of Adamsoft.
The Spotlight Session will take place during the NFC Forum all-members meeting in San Francisco, November 1-5. During the week-long event, representatives from the 130 NFC Forum member organizations converge to advance initiatives focused on bringing NFC-enabled products and services to market.
Attendance at the NFC Forum Spotlight Session for Developers is open to all NFC application developers.
