It has been revealed that the Android app for Google’s new social networking site, Google Plus, features support for NFC tag reading, according to Readwriteweb.com.
Singapore-based developer Ridzuan Ashim, who posted the video above, demonstrates how placing an NFC phone with a Google Plus App over an NFC tag will prompt whatever is written on the tag to pop up on the app’s “Share your thoughts” screen, which is normally used to post status updates to your Google Plus profile.
Readwriteweb.com posits that this feature, as well as other NFC tricks like checking-in and swapping contact info, will become an integral part of the Google Plus experience as NFC gains traction worldwide.
