San Francisco’s Presidio Bank has added IronKey Trusted Access to its online banking offerings in order to give its customers added protection against identity theft, online account takeover and payments fraud.
With Trusted Access, Presidio now meets FFIEC guidance for online banking fraud. It also serves as extra protection in a market where threats of online and malware attacks could be more prevalent.
Trusted Access protects customer online banking accounts even if a user’s computer is infected with a brand-new virus that would normally go undetected by other anti-virus technologies. It uses multiple layers of security through cloud-based network services combined with software that users either download or run from a secure USB device. Upon start, Trusted Access will launch a secure virtual OS and Web browser that functions with IronKey’s Trusted Network and bank-approved sites.
By incorporating this extra protection into its existing security measures, Presidio Bank won the Innovative Community Bank of the Year award given out by the Western Independent Bankers Association.
