We’re hearing rumors that Prince Andrew, Duke of York, met today with Dean A. Scarborough, president and chief executive officer of Avery Dennison, and other Company senior managers to discuss new RFID technology that the company is providing London-based retailer, Marks & Spencer.
FYI, item-level RFID tagging has reduced stocking time from 7.5 hours to 1 hour at Marks & Spencer stores.
“I understand the relationship between Avery Dennison and Marks & Spencer is an extremely important one,” the prince was said to have stated. “It’s another example of several I’ve heard so far on this visit of US and UK companies working together to benefit both our economies.”
