It’s a tool so cool it might not even feel like work.
Avery Dennison’s new mutimedia training tool, RFID 101, combines live narration with animation, photos and video. All to walk viewers through the history of RFID (take that, George Washington!), technology applications, and markets.
Oh yeah – it also takes viewers into the world of systems components, RFID label converting, and tag testing.
“We produced RFID 101 to help folks get up to speed quickly on RFID without spending a lot of money.” said George Reynolds, vice president of sales and marketing at Avery Dennison RFID.
Avery Dennison RFID Introduces New Multimedia Training Tool: RFID 101
08/17/06] Avery Dennison RFID, a business unit of Avery Dennison Corporation, announced it has produced a multimedia training tool: RFID 101.
RFID 101 combines a live narrator with animations, photos and video to walk the viewer through the history of RFID; technology basics; applications & markets; system components; RFID label converting; and tag testing & quality. Each major topic is a separate module, allowing the viewer to watch the presentation from start to finish (about 55 minutes) or to customize the presentation by watching select modules based on their own experience or schedule.
Content for RFID 101 was developed by the technical team based at Avery Dennison RFID’s Atlanta Technical Center (ATC). Much of the content was inspired by Avery Dennison’s work with myriad end users and other RFID stakeholders who have visited ATC over the last couple of years for free product testing and other technical services & training.
“We produced RFID 101 to help folks get up to speed quickly on RFID without spending a lot of money.” said George Reynolds, vice president of sales and marketing at Avery Dennison RFID. “We understand RFID is a complex subject and this presentation covers all the basics. RFID 101 can be passed around the office, viewed by a group or sent by a converter or systems integrator to a customer.
Mr. Reynolds added, “We are dedicated to doing all we can to ensure successful RFID implementations. RFID 101 is just one of many training and educational initiatives we offer to help manufacturers, retailers, systems integrators and tag converters understand, explain and deploy RFID in the real world.”
