Samsung buys CSR’s phone business for $310 million

Samsung Electronics has bought the mobile technology business of UK-based chip maker CSR plc for $310 million, reports Channel News.
The purchase will give Samsung access to CSR’s portfolio of mobile and wireless connectivity technologies, including Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC, as well as 21 of the company’s related patents.
