VingCard Elsafe has completed installation of its Signature RFID contactless electronic door locks and VISION access management system at a pair of luxury hotels in Greece.
Guests at The Romanos and Westin Resort Costa Navarino, both owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts, can now access their rooms with a tap of a contactless keycard or an NFC-enabled phone.
NFC phones users can even check in remotely and receive an encrypted room key through SMS, allowing them to bypass the front desk and go straight to their room.
The system also offers a 600 event audit trail and anti-cloning software to ensure guest safety, all while using less power than traditional magnetic key cards, according to VingCard.
The resorts have also implemented VISION access management system, which automatically logs all access attempts to ensure that anyone entering or leaving the resorts and their secure areas is accounted for. VISION also tells management which keys have accessed which doors, and provides an audit trail of locking events.
Both resorts, 321 rooms and 445 rooms, respectively, are located on the Navarino Dunes on the Costa Navarino in Messinia, Greece.
