A team from the University of Manchester in the UK was demonstrating face and voice recognition that logs individuals into different application on their mobile devices, according to a report on TheNextWeb.com
The system was shown as part of the European MoBio Project. The group developed an application that can log a user into Gmail, Twitter and Facebook using just face and voice recognition. Work on the app is due to finish at the end of the month and several mobile companies have expressed an interest.
The demo was built for the Nokia N900 but would work just as well on the iPhone 4 with the front facing camera. Philip A.
