The IT team at University of Wisconsin is deploying USB “keychains” with digital security capabilities to faculty and students. The tokens contain a smart card chip that holds PKI credentials to secure access to networks and encrypt/sign email. The eToken from Aladdin is also touted as a means to protect student records and thus comply with FERPA requirements for student privacy.
