Virgin Money has announced plans to roll out contactless payment technology on all of its credit cards, according to which.co.uk.
The initiative will see all two million of Virgin’s credit cards replaced by contactless payment cards that will allow customers conduct transactions worth up to £15 without having to enter a PIN.
According to which.co.uk, Virgin’s move coincides with a major expansion of the technology across the UK, with large retailers such as Boots, the Co-Op and Little Chef planning to install contactless payment terminals in the coming year.
