Two-factor authentication provider Yubico has released YubiRADIUS, a free virtual appliance server built on open source components that gives enterprises secure remote access, SSL-VPN and VPN connectivity.
The VPN software integrates with Yubico’s YubiKey USB authentication device for two-factor authentication, providing a more cost-effective way to deploy a strong authentication system throughout an organization.
Along with open source components, YubiRADIUS is based on FreeRADIUS, is simple to deploy and can be downloaded for free. It also works with Yubico’s YubiHSM Hardware Security Module to protect YubiKey encryption keys on a server.
Users of the system won’t have to remember a separate password, as their traditional network password is checked against the enterprise’s existing Active Directory or LDAP.
