Samsung’s Nexus S lands in India

Samsung has announced it will bring its NFC-enabled Nexus S smart phone to the Indian market, according to Mobiletor.com.
The Nexus S, which operates on Google’s Android 2.3 “Gingerbread,” was initially released December 2010 in the U.S. and the UK. The handset, manufactured in collaboration with Google, features a 4″ curved LCD touchscreen, 1 GHz mega processor, and comes preloaded with Gmail, Google Earth, YouTube and Google Maps, Google Search apps.
The device is also one of the very few on the global market to incorporate NFC technology, enabling users to read information from tags and posters, as well as make contactless payments.
Pricing for the Nexus S has been set at Rs. 29,590 (about $669).
